A downloadable game

This game is called "Treasure hunt in my weird world". You already know what it's about.

One day you receive a suspicious email. And your life changes. Kind of. I guess.  Explore a weird world, meet assorted weird guys and find weird treasures (that's all).

I honestly don't know why I made this game, but it was fun. Hope you'll also enjoy it! It's point-and-click-esque, but you cannot actually point or click, you use arrows to move yada yada just play it already

Not suitable for children and contains a couple of strong words.

hi! i know you made this game and updated it a long time ago but i was wondering what game engine you used to make it? :]

Hi! It's RPG Maker MV. I made some tweaks and removed a lot of functions though, so it's not entirely plug-and-play

i gotta ask cuz im sorta stuck on saturn rn is the game like fully finished and completable?

found out the solution the moment i posted this

this is offically in my top 5 games that was amazing and while tricky it was totally worth it and the art style is also amazing and the character desgins are a 10/10

Just played it after watched the secrets video.

Really enjoyed the experience, the character desing and the use of different artstyles really drives home the ethereal vibe of it all.

However after watching other let's plays I can certaintly say that without the map and hint hotline I would have been stumped, and easily tripled my playtime.

One of my main gripes with the game would be consitency, even though it does really sell the strangeness of the world but it does sometime comes at the cost of playability, and not really knowing what to do because the game doesn't really set much expectations to guide the player.

But that aside, this is got to be one of the most unique games I've played, the character desing, the unique art direction, the overall aesthethics and vibes of the world are by far my favourite aspects of the game.

I honestly can't wait to one day see more of your characters!!

This was such a cool experience!! My friend riggy played it on stream yesterday and I just had to check it out myself. Tons of cool ideas, art styles and secrets (managed to find four by the end). Looking at the comments and from stream yesterday I know some people found it hard to know what to do, but that's kind of what I loved about it. Feels like one big puzzle to solve. My only word of advice would have been to replace the default MV message box and font, but that's obviously a tiny nitpick.

Looking forward to whatever you end up making next - will definitely be checking it out!

It was such a blast! I think this game could go even deeper if you wanted it to. The art and the silly stuff was fantastic. I wish I finished it on stream but thankfully Frogge did that after playing. Thanks for the game!

Hey!

I streamed your game last night. Overall, I thought the art style was definitely unique, but the game design is really lacking in the clarity department.

I think one of my biggest annoyances with this game was the inability to go backwards. Once the player has transferred to a different room, they are unable to go back to the previous room, making exploration very tedious as I would constantly need to spam the Q button to return home.
The rules of the game also seem to be inconsistent. One time when I exited the bed room, I was taken to some area in The Back Rooms, next time I exited the bedroom, I was taken to a lemonade stand. I have no idea how to go specifically to the lemonade stand, or to The Back Rooms, it just seemed to be random, making the process all the more of a nuisance considering that the playground puzzle makes no sense, and the only way to access the puzzle is traveling through the lemonade stand, and it seems there is a failure state (maybe?) for selecting the wrong path with the playground puzzle taking me to another area where I cannot backtrack, forcing me to repeat the same rooms over and over in a trial by error.

I like the game's weird atmosphere, but the game is unapproachable in its design that leaves the player feeling alienated and uncertain.

If you'd like to watch my experience with your game, I've linked the archive below. You can click the timestamps to jump to when I start playing your game.

Yo! Thank you for the feedback.

Darn, I REALLY should learn how to guide the player without dumbing it down too much. Seems to be a consistent issue.

There *is* a solution to every one of these puzzles, but absolutely everyone who I saw streaming my game completely missed the point... I'm pissed lol. There is a post-it note in Mac's office that shows a right combination for jungle gym!!!! Arrgh! :'D

big creative game -.gg
